How this site makes money
Industrial Supply World is free to read. It is paid for four ways: affiliate commissions from retailers and manufacturers we link to; sales of products in our own store; display advertising on informational articles (when present, labeled as advertising); and occasionally sponsored content, which is always labeled "Sponsored" at the top of the page.
Affiliate links, plainly
When you click a link marked as a paid link — usually a "Check Price at…" button — and make a purchase, that retailer pays us a commission. This costs you nothing extra. We link to multiple retailers wherever practical, and we do not earn more for recommending one product over another unless the page says otherwise. Pages that contain paid links say so at the top of the page, and paid links are labeled next to the button.
Affiliate networks we currently use: Mavely, which covers a number of retailers. Those links go to the retailer’s own website, and the retailer handles the order, shipping and returns. We do not participate in the Amazon Associates program.
Products we sell ourselves
We are an industrial distributor, and some guides cover products stocked in our own store. Links that lead to our own shop or to our sister store say so in the text. Our guides are not independent of the products we sell — they are written by the people who sell and support them — and our recommendations regularly include products we do not stock, when they are the better answer for the job.
Our sister store
HPCouplers.com is also operated by Mid-States Industrial Sales, Inc. It carries a wider range of couplers, fittings and hose than we stock here. When a guide recommends something we carry there but not here, the link says “our sister store.” Those are not affiliate links — the sale is ours either way.
Free or loaned products
If a manufacturer supplies a product for testing, the article says so at the top. That never buys a conclusion.
Reviews
We do not publish fake reviews, do not pay for reviews, and do not filter customer reviews by star rating. Star ratings appear on this site only where real customer reviews exist. If a review is written by someone who works here, the review says so.
How we test and choose
Recommendations come from decades of distributing, installing, and troubleshooting this equipment — spec sheets, manufacturer data, interchange references, and what actually comes back for warranty. Where a figure matters (pressure ratings, flow, torque), verify it against the manufacturer's current published specification before you rely on it.
Where you'll see this disclosed
Every guide, comparison or article that contains a paid link carries a disclosure line at the top of the page, above the first link, and a "Paid link" label next to the button itself. You should never have to come to this page to find out that a link is paid — this page is the long version, not the only notice.
If we get one wrong
If you ever feel a recommendation missed the mark, tell us at support@industrialsupplyworld.com. We'd rather fix a recommendation than keep a commission.
